Life and Living

Life and Living

"Live for passion, fulfillment, and desire; and the passion to fulfill your desires."

That would be great if I actually took my own advice. I came up with that quote on the spur of the moment while toasting a mango margarita in St Louis and rather liked how insightfully it rolled off my tongue. If we are here to live lives full of passion, vigor, and excitement, then how come we never get up and actually live it?! We spend our lives wishing and hoping and longing for things. We dream of going to Italy, of skydiving, of falling in love, of writing a novel, and of becoming famous. But how many of us actually follow our dreams? I like to think that I am on the right track to achieving my goals in life. I never said I was on a fast track by any means, but I do believe I am headed in the right direction. I throw caution to the wind, I try to take a least one risk a day – whether it be life changing or not is up to your own digression. I change where I live and what I do like some people change their underwear; but that is because I cannot be held down in the mundane, day-to-day routine that life can sometimes hand us. I prefer the zest of variety and the butterflies in your stomach kind of trepidation of not knowing what is in store for me from day-to-day. I try never to make a decision I will regret, and I try not to pass up something that I will eventually wish I had gone thru with. Although I am never quite as dare-devilish and I wish to be, I do put forth a valiant effort.
