Someone Else's Shoes

Someone Else's Shoes

When the shoe is on the other foot, we gain a sense of clarity. We no longer have just one side to the story. When we allow ourselves the opportunity to walk a mile in someone else's shoes we share in the events of that person's life. We have been where they have and we understand the hardships they had to endure to get where they are today. We gain that sense of understanding that we long for that is so far out of grasp. But how often are we afforded that honor of seeing how the other half lives? When we are offered the chance to take a step in a new shoe, we should take it. You never know where a new pair of shoes can take you until you get there.
